Dental Team

 As a 2009 graduate from St. Louis Community college at Forest Park Dental Hygiene program, Sandy has been in the dental field for over 18 years. She began her dental career as a dental assistant at Crosstrails in Cape Girardeau in 2005 and assisted Dr. Merkley before attending dental hygiene school. Over the past 18 years, she has been involved in dental public health and reaching the underserved while also working in various private practice offices as well as a periodontal practice.   Sandy has an active history within the hygiene field and profession, having served on both the state and local components of ADHA as a Board of Trustees member and Vice President respectively.   She now lives happily in Ste. Genevieve County with her husband of 14 years, Jonathan and her four wonderful dogs and two cats.

Hello there, I’m Brie! I’m one of the dental assistants in the office and have been in the dental field since 2008. I love working with kiddos and strive to see a smile on all my campers faces by the time they leave their appointment. Here at Camp Merkley you can find me assisting Dr. Patty with kiddos with their “Sleep Away Camp” experience and anywhere and everywhere in the office. You can find me dancing, singing or being goofy around the office when I have free time. Outside of camp you can find me spending time with my wife and baby boy Beckham riding our SxS, at the ball fields, enjoying the outdoors, and hanging out with our friends and family. My favorite part about working with kids is I feel like I have a special talent for making them laugh and to help make them comfortable during their camp experience. I guess you could say I’m a big kid at heart! I look forward to meeting you and your camper soon!  

Hello everyone. My name is Kenyatta. I am a dental assistant here at Camp Merkley. I have two amazing sons, Ayden & Dallas. I begin working in the dental field in 2019 and have loved it ever since. You can find me on the hygiene side of the office. In my free time I love spending time with my family and doing activities.

Hey guys! My name is Taylor and I'm a dental assistant here at Camp Merkley. I started here at Camp Merkley about a year ago! You can find me in the hygiene side of our office! In my free time I love to take my dog Tucker on walks and SxS rides. I enjoy spending time with my friends and family! 

Hello Campers!  My name is Jerica and I am the Premier Dental Anesthesiology nurse you will meet for your "Sleep Away Camp" adventure.  My job is to make sure you are relaxed for your dental adventure and to keep you safe at "Sleep Away Camp".  I have been a nurse since 2013 and have been with Camp Merkley since 2022.  When I'm not busy at Camp Merkley, I enjoy spending time with friends and family, gardening and basking in the sun.  I can't wait to meet you!

Hello everyone! I am the clinical manager, Amy. I have a sweet and sassy 10 year-old daughter named Ella Sophia and the absolutely CUTEST son named Collin Wayne who is 4. I’ve been married for forever to my husband Clay. I LOVE meeting all the kids at Camp. Their sweet smiles and stories are my favorite! My favorite Disney movie is The Aristocats, an oldie, but goody! “Everybody, everybody wants to be a cat!” Here at Camp Merkley Kids Dental you can find me assisting Dr.Patty with kiddos with their “Starry Camp Out” experience and “Sleep Away Camp.” I am whole-heartedly devoted to making any Camp experience enjoyable and fun for every child.  Alongside Dr. Patty I am highly committed to helping educate parents, guardians, and children on proper dental hygiene. When I am away from Camp I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, hanging by the pool during summertime, getting pedicures, and shopping! I cannot wait to meet you and your camper very soon! 

Hey guys! I'm Patti. I am married to my husband Darren, have a son and a daughter as well as 7 grands!! l started in dentistry back in 1988. Here at the office you will find me on the hygiene side making your teeth sparkle and shine, on the treatment side helping assist chasing those cavities away, making all the appliances for our campers, and even at "Sleep Away Camp" occasionally. I'm a busy bee but love every second here at Camp!! When I'm not at the office you can find me outdoors and spend time with my favorite people in the world, my family! I look forward to seeing your smiling faces!

Hi everyone! My name is Brittany and I am a dental assistant here at Camp Merkley. I love meeting all our campers and sending them home with beautiful, sparkling smiles. When I'm not at Camp, I spend my time with my two young children. We love playing outside and spending warm, sunny days at the park. I love getting lost in a good book, listening to music and playing Nintendo. I look forward to seeing you at Camp Merkley!!
